A case filed by Ahmed Ashraf AKA Shumba Gong’s brother to NIC saying that Shumba was threatened by the police has been decided to investigate by the National Integrity Commission.
Shumba’s brother Ahmed Anvar filed a case to NIC saying that Shumba was arrested with false charges and during the arrest he was threatened with guns. A letter sent to Anvar by NIC says that they have decided to investigate the case.
This case was filed at NIC on 13th January this year. Shumba was brought to Male’ regarding the assassination attempt on the President. So far he has not been charged or investigated regarding the attempted assassination. However he has been charged for threatening an individual.
