Bank of Maldives (BML) have made a total disbursement of MVR486 million to local businesses under Covid-19 relief loans.
Moreover, the national bank have made disbursements to a total of 335 local businesses, providing financial stimulus amid the prolonging economic drivel.
Meanwhile statistics from Ministry of Finance as of 9 August reveal disbursement of USD6.5 million in loans.
In total 552 business forwarded loan applications to BML, of which the ministry made approval of 368 parties.
According to the ministry, there have been a total of 15 rejections so far for various reasons.
