The Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has arrived in the Maldives on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Speaker of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was received at Velana International Airport by Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla, marking the latest high-level parliamentary exchange between the two countries.
During the visit, the Pakistani Speaker is scheduled to meet Vice-President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, Speaker of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla, and members of the Maldives–Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group. His programme also includes visits to the National Museum and Salman Mosque.
The visit follows Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla’s official visit to Pakistan last month, during which he attended the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference.
