Public Service Media's (PSM) Managing Director Ibrahim Khaleel and Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Ikram were dismissed from their posts on Thursday.
In addition to this, PSM's chairperson Mariyam Azra was dismissed from her post.
Both Khaleel and Ikram are among 11 people who were dismissed from their posts in various state companies by the new government on Thursday.
When PSM was founded, the parliament had the power to appoint board members. However, after an amendment in July 2016, only the president can appoint members to the PSM board.
PSM faced harsh criticism during the Presidential campaign. They were accused of promoting former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and his campaign.
