The second forum on training campaign managers for President Yameen 2018 has been started.
Representatives from Faafu atoll to Addu atoll are taking part in the Forum. The Forum was started last night in Dharubaaru and was kicked off by PPM Deputy Leader Fonadhoo Constituency MP Abdu Raheem Abdullah.
MP Abdu Raheem stated that the present Government was in power due to the hard work carried out by the party and added that work has to be carried out to maintain that power base. He added that at that time when PPM was originally formed, following the split from DRP, many had doubted the Party’s ability to survive, gain finances and members.
MP Abdu Raheem added that in spite of the challenges, the senior management persevered and now PPM is the largest party in the nation.
He noted that any endeavor that benefited the nation was a national cause and as such electing President Yameen to a second term was a national cause.
President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom, First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim and Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor took part in the opening ceremony.
