Newly appointed Home Minister Azleen Ahmed today has stated that he will prevent all activities that disrupts peace.
In a statement released this evening, the Minister said that any activity that disrupts public peace and security will be stopped by any means necessary and that it was biggest priority of the government to ensure public peace, safety and security to all. He said the Government offers full assurance that Maldives will remain as a peaceful environment.
Home Minister said that the Government will provide all required assistance to the Police to enforce this. He added that the Government will continue to provide assistance to the work carried out by the collaborative efforts of the Police and the public.
The Minister appealed all to adhere to Constitution, laws, rules and regulations of the state, keep public peace and calm, preserve the integrity of personal self and others and not use intimidation against any individual.
