Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has said that His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom is working to connect the youth with economic activities.
Speaking at the ceremony held last night in Hotel Jen by Maldives Photographs Association (MPA)، Saeed said that providing 94،000 job opportunities for the youth is an aim of President Yameen and that this pledge will be fulfilled before 2018. Minister noted that this government has already created 42،000 job opportunities.
Minister Saeed said that the main aim of economic policies of the government is to convert the talents of Maldivian craftsmen into money.
He said that there are photographers in Maldives and that the government gives importance to promoting the development of these photographers and advancing the photography business. He said that the government’s decision to not provide visa for foreign photographers was for this reason.
Minister said that the fact that the field of photography is open to Maldivians only is something to be proud of.
