The Elections Commission (EC) on Wednesday announced updates made to the voter registry for the upcoming April local council and women’s development committee elections.
The provisional list of eligible voters was first published on January 7, with the public given until 00:00 on January 18 to submit complaints. By the deadline, more than 700 complaints had been filed, most relating to requests for change of address, according to the EC.
Following the latest revisions, the commission has reopened the window for complaints, which can now be submitted through the EC’s main portal until 15:00 on February 8.
