The Maldives has strongly condemned the recent ballistic missile attacks targeting civilian sites in Saudi Arabia, describing them as a serious violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a threat to regional stability.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Maldivian government said the attacks constituted a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity and warned that such actions undermine peace and security across the region.
The government reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Government and people of Saudi Arabia, expressing support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.
The Maldives also stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy, saying sustained diplomatic engagement is essential to consolidate recent progress, prevent renewed tensions and preserve peace, security and stability in the region.
