First Lady Calls for Happier, More Supportive Environment for Children

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has emphasised the importance of ensuring that children grow up in a happy, supportive environment with meaningful opportunities.
She made the statement in a social media post on the occasion of World Children's Day.
In her post, the First Lady called on society to reaffirm its commitment to listening intentionally and acting with compassion towards children. She highlighted that children across the globe demonstrate immense courage and creativity, emphasising that their voices deserve to be heard and respected. She also underscored society's collective duty to provide meaningful opportunities that enable children to look forward to a future filled with promise.
Observed annually on 20 November, World Children's Day serves as a global reminder of the shared responsibility to promote children's welfare and uphold their rights.
