President extends Independence Day greetings to Jordan

His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent separate letters of congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and His Excellency Dr Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister and Minister for Defence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on Jordan’s Independence Day.
In his letter to King Abdullah II, the President extended sincere greetings and heartfelt felicitations from the Government and people of the Maldives to the leadership and brotherly people of Jordan. Highlighting the deep value the Maldives places on its steadfast friendship, mutual respect, and cooperative spirit, President Dr Muizzu expressed strong confidence that these close ties will continue to flourish significantly in the coming years.
In his letter to Prime Minister Dr Jafar Hassan, the President conveyed warm well-wishes on behalf of the Maldivian Government and citizens. He noted that the close relationship between the two nations is built upon shared principles and mutual trust. The President further expressed confidence that this robust partnership will continue to prosper and diversify into new areas of bilateral cooperation.
President Dr Muizzu concluded both correspondences by wishing the Jordanian leadership good health and well-being, and continued peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Jordan.
In a separate statement shared on social media, President Dr Muizzu further emphasised that the enduring bond between the Maldives and Jordan is rooted in a common faith and shared values, expressing his desire for both nations to continue building on their cordial ties through open dialogue and reciprocal support.
Jordanian Independence Day commemorates the official liberation from the British Mandate and the declaration of independence as a kingdom on May 25, 1946.
