The Marina at CROSSROADS has conducted an educational visit for selected students from Muhyiddin School.
A total of 18 students visited the Maldives Discovery Center and Marine Discovery Center at The Marina at CROSSROADS on 21 November 2019.
Described as a “fruitful and fun-filled visit for the students” the visit was conducted to raise awareness about the Maldivian culture and environment.
The students received the opportunity to learn about Maldivian arts and crafts during their visit, as well as learned about the unique geography, marine life and conservation activities – coral propagation methods – carried out by the center.
The Marine Discovery Center at the patchwork of resorts hosts a laboratory where marine research and longitudinal studies are conducted.
Furthermore, in their press statement the management of the Marina at CROSSROADS noted they are “committed to [their] vision of upholding values of sustainability regarding the environment, the local culture and the local community.”
In addition to the Marine Discovery Center at The Marina, they also house the Maldives Discovery Center which holds unique cultural attractions where visitors upon entering will discover the origins of the island nation and its heritage.
