All Commercial Flights from China Loaded with Water for Maldives With More Assistance on its Way

Immediately after the Male water crisis, the Chinese Government has mobilized all the available resources to rush for rescue in Maldives.
3 batches of drinking water totaling 47.5 tons has been loaded to the commercial flights from China on 5th December and arrived in Male on 6th, with the help and coordination from all relevant organizations in China: in Beijing, the airport customs gave special clearance for the water to be loaded within the shortest time; in Guangzhou, Civil Aviation Authority of China gave precedence for the flight for Male to take off anytime once loading is ready; in Colombo, China Machinery and Engineering Corporation staff have coordinated water stock to be shipped on Male wherever shipping space is available.
More water stock will continue to be shipped on commercial flights from China in the coming days, while 2 China Air Force transporters are fully loaded with water and ready to fly whenever they receive flight clearance from relevant country.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Navy Vessel Chang Xing Dao, a submarine support ship with RO plant of 90 tons daily production capacity, is now on full speed coming to Male and already producing water day and night. It will provide at least 600 tons of water immediately upon arrival.
In this difficult time, the Government and People of China stands firmly with the Government and People of Maldives, and will continue to offer assistance wherever it can.
