Former President Mohamed Nasheed will be undergoing a medical procedure in the UK، says his office on a statement on Monday.
According to the statement، Nasheed was set to undergo the surgery on Monday. The office further said that since he was granted permission to travel abroad for medical treatment on 18 January 2016، he has been undergoing treatment as per the counsel of the doctors in the UK.
Though the office said Nasheed will undergo a medical procedure on Monday، his medical leave extension was retracted by Maldives Correctional Service.
Normally، a medical procedure is a course of action intended to determine whether the person has any medical conditions.
