Minister of External Affairs of India، Ms. Sushma Swaraj has arrived in the Maldives on a two-day official visit.
She was received at the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Dunya Maumoon. Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives Mr. Rajeev Shahare، and senior officials of Maldives Foreign Ministry and Indian High Commission in Maldives.
The Minister of External Affairs of India is visiting the Maldives on the invitation of the Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon.
Ms. Sushma is set to meet with senior officials of the Maldives Government، and hold official talks on further strengthening the bilateral relations between Maldives and India.
She will also lead the Indian Delegation at 5th Session of India-Maldives Joint Commission، scheduled to be held on 11 October 2015.
The Maldives – India Joint Commission was established in 1986 under the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the two countries، with the primary aim of improving bilateral relations in all spheres.
