President Muizzu to Make Official Visit to Singapore on Invitation of President Tharman

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will make an official visit to Singapore from June 29 to July 2 at the invitation of Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the President’s Office has announced. He will be accompanied by First Lady Madam Sajida Mohamed.
During the visit, President Muizzu is scheduled to hold meetings with President Tharman, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and Cabinet Ministers to discuss ways to deepen bilateral cooperation and explore opportunities for joint development in key sectors.
As part of his official engagements, President Muizzu will also participate in a Singapore-Maldives Business Forum, which will bring together representatives of major Singaporean companies. The President’s Office has confirmed that agreements will be signed during this visit to further strengthen collaboration between the two countries.
President Muizzu will also meet with Maldivian citizens residing in Singapore.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Singapore were formally established on February 20, 1975, marking nearly five decades of strong bilateral ties.
