President attends closing ceremony of Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 Badminton Tournament

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended the closing ceremony of the Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 Badminton Tournament, held this evening at the Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Hall.
As part of the ceremony, the President watched the two final matches of the tournament. The doubles final was contested between the ‘Malé’ and ‘Eydhafushi’ teams, while the singles final saw ‘Hulhudhoo Boy’ face off against ‘India’.
During the closing ceremony, President Dr Muizzu presented trophies, medals, and commemorative certificates to the tournament champions. In addition, medals and trophies were awarded for the Women’s Special Olympics Singles and the Men’s Special Olympics events. Awards were also presented to recognise participants in the Special Olympics Singles category.
The Government continues to pursue a range of initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for Maldivians in sports and fitness. In this regard, efforts are underway to host more international tournaments in the Maldives and to ensure equal opportunities for all in the sports sector.
