Kulhudhuffushi City has become the first city to digitize all population related information.
Mayor Mohamed Athif stated that Kulhudhuffushi City became the first city to digitally upload all the information about the island’s population on the Gemen portal.
Gemen Portal is an online portal hosted on the E-council network, designed to manage information and records relating to vital registration.
Athif thanked all the employees involved for completing the work even though council has less staff as compared to other councils. Also he noted that it took a lot of time for the staff to collect information from many documents that have been manually maintained in the council so far and put them on the portal.
One of the main objectives of Gemen Portal is to provide easy access to government authorities regarding important information about the population in the future. Moreover, to enhance the quality and speed of the service provided by government authorities.
