If we cannot discuss on issues, it will get worse: Dr. Ali Shameem

Civil Service Commission President Dr. Ali Shameem has stated that if national issues concerning the public cannot be discussed then the issues will grow progressively worse.
Speaking to Miadhu on the occasion of the 51st independence day, Dr. Shameem said that discussions were vital in resolving the issues faced.
He said that power stemmed from the public and as such concerns must be address. He added that if issues remained unresolved, then there will be a party who will resort to seeking help from foreign parties.
Dr. Shameem said this had happened in the past.
He said that people wanted independence and all needed to free their minds as well. He voiced for independent thought. Dr. Shameem said that we all had personal liberties but their minds were enslaved. He added that addiction, especially to internet and phones, were also addictions.
Dr. Shameem said that one out of every three were addicted to drugs and that this was a concerning issue. He said any youth who uses drugs is not a free person and that such a large number of addicts was a concerning issue.
