Four top European clubs are considering summer bids for Liverpool’s wantaway winger Raheem Sterling، several media reports say.
As This Is Futbol revealed yesterday morning، the 20 year-old is expected to inform Ian Ayre he wants to leave Anfield this summer، having scheduled a meeting with the Anfield outfit’s chief executive for Friday afternoon.
Since then، various stories have emerged linking the England international to some of the biggest clubs from the Premier League and other European leagues.
As reported by BBC Sport، Arsene Wenger was suspiciously reluctant when inquired on the issue of a summer bid for Sterling yesterday afternoon، leading to rumours of an offer to rope in Sterling as a Gunner..
Meanwhile، Mirror Football have reported a planned £40million bid from Manchester City، with The Express also claiming they’ll offer the 2014 Golden Boy winner a £200k per-week contract. He’s currently on £35k per-week at Anfield.
Bayern Munich are fellow potential candidates for Sterling’s signature – as reported by German publication Bild – whilst Chelsea will cash-in on South American duo Oscar and Juan Cuadrado to fund a move for the home-grown prodigy in the coming transfer window، as claimed by The Daily Star.
Liverpool are reluctant to relinquish their prized asset، but will likely sell if any club meets their rumoured £50million valuation – as The Telegraph reported in April.
