The Maldives and Saudi Arabia have held high-level discussions on enhancing information exchange, intelligence sharing, capacity building, and training within the immigration sector. The talks were part of the official visit of Controller General of Immigration Mohamed Shamaan Waheed to Saudi Arabia.
During his visit to Riyadh, Shamman met with Saleh Bin Saad Al-Murbe, head of the Saudi Arabian General Directorate of Passports, and other key officials. The discussions focused on Saudi Arabia’s immigration processes, including visa issuance, border management, and officer training.
Maldives Immigration confirmed that the visit provided valuable insights into training opportunities, intelligence sharing, and technological advancements in immigration management.
