President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and the First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have returned to Male’, following their Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The President and First Lady departed for Saudi Arabia on 6 April to perform the sacred rite of Umrah. All arrangements and expenses for the visit were borne by the government of Saudi Arabia.
In 2024, the President and First Lady also visited Saudi Arabia for Umrah as a special guest of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz. They also performed the Hajj pilgrimage in 2025.
