Former Minister of Atolls Administration Abdulla Hameed has passed away in Bangalore, India.
He suffered a heart attack three days ago and was receiving treatment in a hospital in Bangalore.
Abdulla Hameed is former president Maumoon Abdul Gayoom’s brother, and President Abdulla Yameen’s half-brother.
In addition to Atolls Minister, he also served as Speaker of Parliament.
He is survived by fiven daughters and six sons.
