PG leader of PPM, Ahmed Nihaan have said that MDP set fire to the whole nation even before and they will do that even now. He said that those who join MDP are their partners in these crimes.
Nihaan made this statement at a time while the opposition has signed an agreement to work with MDP on 24th of this month. The former president of PPM, Maumoon Abdul Gayyoom also signed this agreement. Nihaan said that they burned the country with fire on 8th February but now they are setting fire to the country with discord.
“The fire of discord is more dangerous than any other fire. We can see how much we lose in material terms from a fire but it is impossible to estimate the losses through discord” said Nihaan
Nihaan said that anyone who wishes well for the nation will not join MDP. “ Even now what they are doing is obstructing economic development. Government is taking part in tourism fares while MDP attends these fares with Christian missionaries and try to boycott Maldives. MDP leadership is full of traitors” said Nihaan.
He said that any sane person can see clearly that MDP will never do anything that is good for the nation.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the deputy leader of PPM, Abdul Raheem said that since Maumoon joined hands with MDP, now Maumoon does not have PPM ideology.
