Samsung’s Galaxy S5 Active becomes the latest in the company’s high-end handsets to receive Google’s latest OS roll-out، the Android 5.0، or more famously known as Android Lollipop.
This device is more keenly identified as the more edgy and rugged sister of the vanilla Galaxy S5.
Google Android’s latest update will be rolling out first in Europe’s Nordic region. Users who had purchased their devices and are currently using their S5 active in this region will receive the update notification soon. The new update version of Android OS will be 1.4GB (approximately) in size، so those who wish to use carrier network for downloading the update should be cautious over the carrier charges.
Once users have successfully downloaded and installed their S5 Active with Android Lollipop، they can check the System Settings، and go into About Phone column to see their Android version and build status. The updated status of both OS and build will appear like this;

For those living in the region who do not get the notification as expected، can manually check for updates by hitting the Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
