The Dhiraagu Maldives Gaming Conquest (DMGC) commenced on Thursday, attracting more than 1,500 gamers to the three-day tournament.
The event is being held at Ghiyasuddin International School and features a four-match format, providing a platform for local gamers to demonstrate their skills.
Competitors are vying for a share of the total prize pool, which stands at MVR 170,000.

Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand & Marketing Communications, commented on the scale of the event, stating, “Today marks the launch of the largest ever e-sports tournament in the country.”
Beyond the main competitions, DMGC 2025 offers various activities, including a racing simulation zone, a Virtual Reality (VR) zone, free-to-play stations, and board games. The venue also features stalls offering food, gaming accessories, and other related items.
