Applications Reopened for Civil Service Commission Posts

The President’s Office has reopened applications for membership of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), as the terms of three current members near completion.
According to the President’s Office, applications will remain open until noon on Tuesday, 12 August, 2025. Applications will be accepted on working days between 08:30 am and 12:00 noon until the deadline. Application forms can be downloaded from the President’s Office website.
To be eligible, applicants must be a Maldivian citizen aged 30 or above. Applicants must not have been convicted of a Hadd offense under Islamic Shariah or a criminal offense within the past five years. Individuals currently holding an elected position under the Constitution or those employed elsewhere cannot apply for CSC membership. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field of management following the completion of a first degree is also required.
Members of the Civil Service Commission are appointed by the President after considering and approving the names sent to Parliament from among the applicants. Each member serves a five-year term.
The Commission currently comprises five members. They are the President of the Commission Mohamed Nasih, the Vice-President of the Commission Mohamed Mujthaz, and members of the Commission Mohamed Farsath, Fathimath Shareef and Fathimath Habeeba. The terms of office of the Commission President Mohamed Nasih and members Mohamed Farsath and Fathimath Shareef are due to expire.
