Bank of Maldives (BML) announces its offices will be closed on Thursday.
Banks are closed every year on December 31. However, as the 31st falls on Friday this year, which is when the weekend starts in Maldives, BML has decided they will have their offices closed on December 30 instead.
BML said their service centers and branches will be closed on Thursday. These offices will be open again on Sunday, January 2.
Even if the bank offices are closed, internet banking, and mobile banking through their phone application will be available in addition to self-service ATMs as well.
Banks are closed for one day at the end of the year to complete in-house audits.
