The telethon which started at 2.30pm from Studio One at Television Maldives (TVM), kicked off with MVR 6.3 million from good citizens. The Bank of Maldives (BML) and the Islamic Bank has placed a POS machines at their table at TVM to support and assist the Help Gaza Fund, making an instant deposit by using their BML or Islamic bank cards to make a contribution. The option of making a contribution to the “Help Gaza “ fund with cheques has also been made possible at the BML table placed in TVM. For the telethon kick off held at TVM six children had contributed money to the Help Gaza fund. The president of Adhaalath Party Sheikh Imran Abdullah had also participated in the opening ceremony along with the telethon‘s steering committee.
