Adeeb sentenced to 15 years, bodyguards 10 years in explosion case

Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb has been sentenced to 15 years and two of his body guards, Hassan Rikaz and Ahmed Amir, for 10 years each after being proven guilty of installing an IED aboard the President’s speed boat.
Criminal Court issued the verdict in a closed session of the Court this evening.
Adeeb was proven guilty of having abused his position and terrorism charges.
He had been previously sentenced to serve 10 years on terror charges for weapons possession.
