Maldives Police Service (MPS) have started to investigate a case of a child kept in chains in Haa Dhaal Atoll Kulhudhuffushi.
Reportedly Police are investigating a case of an 11 year old boy who was kept in chains in “Sazmee” house of Kulhudhuffushi on Sunday afternoon.
The child was reportedly in chains when the officials from Family & Children Service Centre in Kulhudhuffushi and the Police arrived at the house، after the matter was reported to Family & Children Service Centre.
Police Media Official said Gender Ministry is currently looking into the case of a child who was ill treated by the family in Kulhudhuffushi.
No further details were disclosed by the Police regarding the case.
