Mohamed Asif elected for media council with majority votes

CEO of Vmedia, Mohamed Asif has been elected for the media council winning the majority votes in the election held yesterday.
The votes were taken for two groups of members. They are the 8 members elected for the council by the medias and the 7 members elected by the public.
The second to get the largest number of votes is Hidhayathullah with 44 votes. Hafsi Abdulla got 36 votes, Mohamed Rafeeu got 35 votes, Abbas got 32 votes while Mohamed Amir got 31 votes.
Five members were selected for the eighth place. They are Hassan Ziyau, Hussein Hassan, Ahmed Rifaau, Imad Latheef and Ahmed Mujthaba with 28 votes.
Home Ministry stated that an election will be held among these 5 candidates.
Aminath Hassan won the greatest number of votes from the public election. She won 39 votes. In addition to Aminath Hassain, Ahmed Mizman, Ahmed Zaki, Nafees, Abdul Latheef Ahmed, Leesha Ahmed also were elected.
The Medias thanked the Home Ministry for their cooperation and their excellent set up for the election.
