He met the world famous athlete after winning from Ooredoo-led International Communcation Campaign، under the title “Simply Do Wonders” which was opened throughout the globe.
The campaign، which opened up for participiants to upload football trick videos on Instagram as well as a joint social media campaign alonside.
Out of the videos، Messi، who served as the judge selected 12 of the best videos showing football tricks، of which Saamir was selected among to be the part of on international-group of Messi lovers to go and meet the man in the flesh، in Barcelona، Spain.
The group was able to witness a live match on which، Lionel Messi had performed.
Winners of the campaign include، Tunisia، Qatar، Indonesia، Algeria، Kuwait and Palestine along with Maldives. Apart from this، Ooredoo gave two Gazans to be the part of the team as well.
Following his heartwarming meeting with the young team of winners، Messi said in a statement “These young kids are a new hope and encouragement، even with difficulties they are willing to grab opportunities they get through football and sports،”
