Even if dogs are dispatched to control the protest، the opposition’s “Mayday” protest will not cease، says MDP Chairperson، Ali Waheed.
Speaking at the gathering organized by Adhaalath Party in Vilimale’ tonight، Ali Waheed stated that the protest will not stop even if dogs، along with the inmates in jails are released to control it.
Noting that there is ‘no meaning for any more gatherings’، Ali Waheed said that the ‘atrocities must be stopped’ following the Friday prayers، next Friday.
He further noted that the cruelty was not stopped as ‘they were too lenient’.
In addition، Ali Waheed stated that the jailed ex-President Nasheed will be released by the beginning of next month.
Former President and the leader of the opposition، Mohamed Nasheed was sentenced to 13 years in prison on terrorism charges.
