Waste management problem in Male’ solved. More Issues will be resolved next year : Dr.Muizzu

Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu have said that with the waste transfer center opened in the industrial village today, waste management problem in Male’ has been solved. Furthermore, he said that issues related to warehouses, workshops etc will be resolved next year.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the industrial village yesterday, Dr.Muizzu said that the area of the village is 9.6 hectors and largest area was leased for waste management related purposes. Dr.Muizzu said that Finance Ministry has announced for contractors to build a 6 story building in the village to relocate warehouses and workshops in Male’. He said that soon this building will be completed.
He said that today it can be witnessed that President Yameen assumed office not to compete with political rivals, but to find solutions for the problems in the society. “ Today we can see that the waste management problem in Male’ has been solved. Next year we will see that the issues related to warehouses will be solved” said the Minister.
Speaking at the ceremony, MP Nihaan said that waste management issue is a huge problem faced in all the islands in Maldives and today the problem is being solved. He said that solving this problem is very important for the current generation. Nihaan said that solving this problem is not so easy but it is being done by the government.
“ We even protested before. We had to do it because, one cannot tolerate the smell in the Villimale’ ferry terminal and nothing was done by the government at that time” said Nihaan.
