Members of Parliament in Government Coalition have visited the navy ships that carried water to people of Male’ during the water crisis occurred due to the fire incident at Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
MPs of government coalition have first visited the India’s navy ship “Deepak”. Rajeev Shahare, Indian High Commissioner to Maldives, captain and crews of INS Deepak welcomed the MPs from that navy ship.
After visiting India navy ship, MPs visited Chinese navy ship Chung Chin Duo that carried water to Male’ on 8 December 2014. Senior captain of the navy ship and Thon Zeng Commanding Officer of the mission to deliver water to Male’ welcomed MPs from this navy ship. Thirdly, MPs visited Bangladesh navy ship “BNS Sumundura” that arrived in Male’ on 11 December 2014 with water. MPs were welcomed by Commanding Officer of that navy ship, captain Wahid Hassan Kuthbuddin and High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Maldives Riya Admiral ASMA Awal.
MPs have thanked all the countries for the closeness maintained and the help offered in MPs’ visit to every navy ship and expressed the need of strengthening relationship between those countries and Maldives.
