The People’s Majlis has announced that sittings have adjourned until matters currently in committee review are completed.
Majlis speaker Qasim Ibrahim says there are no items to be put on the agenda until matters in review are forwarded to the floor.
At the sitting on Tuesday, parliamentarians had read and forwarded for review the government’s decision to sign an agreement on ‘mutual legal assistance’ with India.
Several legislations are currently in review, including the evidence bill, the legal professions bill, and a bill to grant statutory authority to two presidential inquiry commissions.
