Shein resumes free shipping to Maldives

After three months, Shein has resumed offering free shipping to the Maldives.
Shein, China’s fashion business, offers free shipping on orders above USD250. Prior to the pandemic, Shein used to give free delivery on orders of more than USD150.
Shein has been charging a USD30 delivery fee on all online purchases for the previous three months. Customers now will get free shipping if their orders exceed USD250, and will be charged USD24 per shipping if their purchases fall below the free shipping limit.
The Shein brand, which is very popular in the Maldives, began charging a shipping fee last August for no apparent reason.
Many Maldivians have expressed concern about the shipping option and have asked the company to change it. Shein responded that the matter was being reviewed.
Shein started the business in 2010. The company went online in 2014 and gained popularity in a short period of time. Shein has now expanded its business to more than 200 countries. The company now has revenues of more than USD10 billion.
