His Excellency Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the opening ceremony of the Blue Planet Alliance (BPA) Fellowship Programme as a special guest.

The Blue Planet Alliance Fellowship Programme offers participants the opportunity to engage with policy experts, utility executives, civil society organisations, and climate-solution advocates. The goal is to find solutions for addressing the challenges in implementing renewable energy technology in Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Senior government officials and participants from civil society organisations in the Maldives will represent the country and take part in this fellowship programme. This is the fourth cohort of the BPA Fellowship Programme, scheduled to take place from May 19 to 23, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
