President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed Muizzu observed the military parade and display by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) to commemorate MNDF's 133rd anniversary.
The parade commenced from Bandaara Koshi, the MNDF Headquarters. Commander-in-Chief, President Dr Muizzu inspected the troops near President’s Office, where they honoured him with a Presidential salute.
Marching on a designated route, punctuated by five performances by the MNDF band, the troops showcased the diverse services that the military provides.
The Maldivian military, now known as MNDF, was officially established on April 21, 1892.
