President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has embarked on a three day tour of inhabited islands in Dhaalu atoll this afternoon.
According to the President's Office, the visit includes meetings with island councils, women's development committees, and heads of various institutions.
During the trip, President Muizzu is set to inaugurate multiple development projects and officially open several completed ones.
This visit aligns with his commitment to visit every island twice during his presidential term to assess residents' well-being and address their concerns.
The President's Office said that, through previous visits, he has already met with representatives from all but one island council.
Accompanying him on this tour are several ministers and heads of key government companies. The President is expected to complete his visits to all the islands in Dhaalu atoll by Tuesday and return to the capital.
