Sh. Kanditheemu: Following the successful conclusion of the ‘Milaithuru Futsal Challenge 2025,’ held in Kanditheemu last October, Kanditheemu Council President Ahmed Ahsan expressed profound gratitude to all parties who collaborated to make the tournament a success. On this occasion, President Ahsan highlighted the hospitality of the island’s residents and their efforts toward development, affirming that Kanditheemu is an exemplary island. Regarding the prestigious victory achieved by Kanditheemu in the Milaithuru Futsal tournament, Kanditheemu President Ahmed Ahsan told “Thiladhun” that he was deeply thankful to the Sh. Atoll Council for granting the island the honor of hosting the ‘Milaithuru Futsal Challenge 2025.’ In this regard, the President also expressed unreserved gratitude for the cooperation and hard work provided by the Council staff, government agencies, associations, volunteers, and businesses to ensure the tournament was conducted in the most perfect manner. Specifically, the President extended warm congratulations and felicitations to the Kanditheemu team for winning the championship of this prestigious tournament and enhancing the unity of Kanditheemu. Furthermore, President Ahsan acknowledged the hospitality and closeness shown by the beloved residents of Kanditheemu to the visiting guests, and thanked the residents for their hard work in maintaining Kanditheemu as an exemplary island. “In truth, what I have witnessed over the past years is that the people of Kanditheemu cannot be held back on the path of development. The way you, the residents, handle the island’s affairs is an example for the entire Maldives. Kanditheemu is now a cool island inhabited by exemplary citizens,” said Kanditheemu President Ahmed Ahsan. With the success achieved by the Kanditheemu team in this tournament and the unity demonstrated by the residents, it has been further proven that Kanditheemu is an exemplary island for the entire Maldives.
