President discusses key development priorities with Dharan’boodhoo Island Council, WDC, and institutional heads

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the F. Dharan’boodhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of Dharan’boodhoo Island Council.
During the discussions, Council members outlined the island’s most pressing needs, stressing the necessity for shore protection measures. They also emphasised the requirement for a multipurpose hall and additional classrooms to ease the school’s space constraints. Furthermore, the Council requested the construction of a football field and a running track.
President Dr Muizzu assured the Council that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns and work towards practical solutions. He also provided an update on the progress of ongoing development projects.
