The President of the Elections Commission, Mohamed Zahid, has resigned from his post.
The commission confirmed Zahid’s resignation to PSM News. However, no further details regarding the decision have been disclosed.
Zahid was appointed as President of the Elections Commission on 18 February last year.
At the time of his resignation, the commission comprised five members, including the president.
