Ooredoo and Junior Chambers International (JCI) Maldives today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a long term partnership that will support youth development in the Maldives. The agreement was signed by JCI Maldives President, Yameen Adam and Ooredoo Maldives CEO, Vikram Sinha.
As part of this partnership, Ooredoo will support JCI Maldives in creating development opportunities that empower young people to create a positive change. Their efforts range from skill development programs and community engagement to creating leaders and a better next generation.
Ooredoo Maldives CEO, Vikram Sinha said: “Ooredoo strongly believes in the significant role that youth have in creating a better future for our beloved nation and the generations to come. We are very pleased to partner with JCI Maldives in supporting the young generation to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams and ambitions.”
JCI is a non-profit organization of young active citizens who are engaged and committed to creating a positive impact in their communities. The organisation established a local chapter in the Maldives in 2007, and currently have over 120 active members across Maldives in Male’, Kaafu Atoll and Addu Atoll.
