President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has expressed the solidarity ‎of the Maldivian people towards Pakistan in all its efforts in maintaining ‎peace.
The President made this remark in his message of sympathy to ‎President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif ‎of Pakistan, on learning of the attack at the Army Public School in ‎Peshawar, which led to the tragic loss of life and injury to over a hundred ‎victims.‎
In separate messages sent to the President and Prime Minister, President ‎‎Yameen strongly condemned this act of terror and expressed the solidarity ‎of the Maldivian people towards Pakistan in all its efforts in maintaining ‎peace.
The President also expressed the firm commitment of the Maldives, ‎to the fight against the ‎global menace of terrorism.‎
In his messages, the President conveyed the profound sympathy of the ‎Government and the people of the Maldives, to the Governments and the ‎people of Pakistan. President Yameen also conveyed condolences to the ‎members of the bereaved families.‎
