BML opens applications for Bank Fund

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened applications for the Bank Fund 2026.
The programme provides grants for eco-friendly community projects carried out by registered Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) across the country.
Under the themes of education, environment, sports and community development, the Bank Fund will provide MVR 200,000, equivalent to USD 12,951.84, to five winning projects. Having distributed the grant over the past two years, the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to promoting inclusive growth and strengthening civil society nationwide.
“At Bank of Maldives, we firmly believe that lasting progress is built from the ground up. The Bank Fund reflects our dedication to enabling local organisations to turn their innovative ideas into tangible benefits for their communities. We are proud to see the meaningful difference this fund has already made and look forward to supporting another cohort of impactful, sustainability-driven initiatives in 2026.” said BML Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mohamed Shareef.
Since its launch, the grant has supported various community-focused projects implemented by nine different NGOs.
Registered NGOs and clubs are requested to submit applications and project proposals before 1400hrs on 14 June.
Submissions should be emailed to [email protected]. Application forms and detailed guidelines are available on the bank’s website.
