Bank of Maldives (BML), on Wednesday, has launched its new corporate campaign: ‘Dhiveheenge Bank - Mulhi Raajje ah’.
The campaign was launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu during the ceremony held on Wednesday morning to commemorate the Bank’s journey.
According to the bank, the new corporate campaign reaffirms the Bank’s foundational commitment to the Maldivian people and its pivotal role in energizing the nation’s economy.
In his keynote address during the ceremony, BML’s CEO, Managing Director Mohamed Shareef reflected on the Bank’s founding mission in 1982 to go beyond commercial banking and contribute to national progress. He said the ‘Dhiveheenge Bank – Mulhi Raajje ah’ campaign honors this enduring legacy, portraying BML not merely as a financial institution, but as a key partner in the nation’s development—supporting individuals, businesses, and communities across the country.
Shareef also emphasized the Bank’s distinctive role as the bank of the Maldivian people.
“Bank of Maldives leads in technological innovation, introducing modern banking solutions that have reshaped the country’s financial landscape. The Bank is recognized not only as the largest employer of Maldivians in the financial sector, but also as a promoter of local talent and a supporter of nationwide growth,” he said.
During Wednesday’s ceremony, BML announced the successful completion of its ‘Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM’ project – a landmark national initiative aimed at establishing essential banking services at all residential islands in the Maldives.
The bank also launched Swipe – a new multicurrency digital wallet that offers seamless, instant and secure payments for Maldives and beyond.
