Tickets for Maldivian fusion band 2ofus’ concert, ‘Dream Beyond Borders – 2ofus LIVE in Kuala Lumpur’, is set to go live on Monday, October 20th.
The concert, which marks the first official international concert organized and headlined by a Maldivian band, will be held on November 7th at Stage 1 Theatre, Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC) in Kuala Lumpur.
Organized by the band 2ofus, this concert marks a significant moment in the history of Maldivian music, bringing local talent to the international spotlight with a fully produced, large-scale event. The show is headlined by 2ofus and sponsored by Concierge Group Maldives Pvt Ltd, with additional support from Visit Maldives, Island Perfumes, Maldives Centre, Male’ City Council, Me2 Films, SSTV, Phat Katz Events, Crepe Runner, Maagiri Hotel, Hulhule' Island Hotel, Azidon, and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
While Maldivian acts like Fasy Live, Zero Degree Atoll, Nothnegal, Skyrock, Detune Band, and Traphic Jam have previously performed internationally, their appearances were typically as part of joint festivals or cultural events. This concert, however, is the first time a Maldivian band is independently hosting and headlining a fully official, ticketed performance abroad.
2ofus—formed by Ahmed Adhuham, Abdullah Shamrookh, Ahmed Jasheem, Ahmed Shaheed (Shahyd Legacy), and formerly Mohamed Nasooh—is recognized for their heartfelt original songs in Dhivehi, Hindi, and English. Advocating a clean lifestyle, the band has played at major local venues like Olympus Theatre and national festivals, and is now taking the stage at Kuala Lumpur’s PJPAC.
