Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the winners of Small Grants fund – which supports NGOs implement community-based projects that address environmental issues and promote sustainable development.
The eight NGOs to win the BML Small Grants were announced Thursday.
They are:
Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA)
Huvadhoo Association for Tourism (HAT)
Vaadhoo Association for Future Development (VAFD)
Kumundhoo Revival Initiative (Kurevi)
Women in Fuvahmulah
Small Island Research Group
Huvadhoo Aid
Kihaadhoo Development Society (KIDS)
Each NGO will receive a grant of MVR 250,000 to successfully implement their plan.
The BML Small Grants fund was launched in March as part of the series of 12 high-impact monthly community initiatives to celebrate the national bank’s 40th anniversary in November.
